Ministry Update

In the latter part of 2011, we partnered with Christian Worldview Outreach (CWVO), and a local pastor (who is a native of India), to send some of our articles to be translated and published in an Indian Christian newspaper. The first article, Dinosaurs: Important to the Gospel, was published in January 2012. After the publication, there came about stiff opposition and rejection from Christian school teachers who believe in evolution.

Here’s an excerpt from the email we received just a few days ago from the director of CWVO:

I am sorry to report that the reaction to our first article in the newspaper in Gugarat, India created such a strong reaction that the newspaper has decided to stop publishing articles. The primary protestors are Christian school teachers. … All of your hard work has produced outstanding results. We should not be surprised if there is resistance to the truth of the gospel.

We believe that God will open other doors of opportunity similar to this one. Pray for us as we seek to follow God’s leading in this and other areas.

The Tool Box – January/February 2012

It’s that time again!  The January / February 2012 edition of The Tool Box is now available.  We pray that, as you read the articles in this latest edition of The Tool Box, you will built up in your faith in the Word of our awesome Creator, and that you will be excited to share the truth of the Word with those around you!

Having entered into another year, we are reminded again that time passes quickly, and that we must make each moment count for eternity.  As Ephesians 5:16 says, we need to be “redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”  Our day and age is definitely full of evil, and yet we know that we must be shining lights in the darkness.  We pray that the LORD has been at work in your lives already in this new year, and we ask that He would be use each of you in a powerful way to advance His Kingdom on earth in 2012.

Your continued prayer support as we continue work in this important area of Christian ministry is much needed, and greatly appreciated.  We also appreciate hearing from you, our readers!  Please take a moment and jot us a note with any comments, questions or other feedback you may have for us.  Hearing from you helps us to know how we can better steward the time and talents we have been entrusted with by our Lord.

See You at the National Missionary Convention!

 

In only two days the CET Team will be departing to Atlanta, Georgia to attend the annual National Missionary Convention.  We will be hosting a booth there at the convention, where thousands of folks will stroll through the exhibit hall and listen to the sessions.  We are excited about what the Lord has planned for us there, and we pray that through this convention the Truth about His Word and His Creation will be spread to thousands more, to His glory!  So, keep us in your prayers as we travel the long journey (about 12 hours, almost 800 miles) and that the Lord will use us in a powerful way this week!  Also, our uncle Jim has come over from Germany, where he has been a missionary for over a decade, to attend this convention and host a booth for his ministry, International Student Mission.  Thanks for your prayers!
