Here is the first paragraph from the main article, written by Joel Kautt:

Psalm 75:1 We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near.”

So what does creation have to do with Thanksgiving? When I thought about that question, I remembered several passages in the Psalms where the psalmist proclaims thanksgiving to the Lord for His role as the Creator. I thought about how God shows His awesome power in and through the things He has made, and how those displays of His glory should prompt us to worship and praise Him in gratitude for all that He has done. While digging deeper in this subject I found several instances in the Scriptures where the word “thanksgiving” is used in conjunction with the words “praise” and “declare” / “show forth” / “tell of” and then often the passage will proceed to describe some aspect of God’s handiwork seen in the physical universe. This would seem to indicate that one way to express thanksgiving to our God is to praise Him for His mighty works and tell others about His awesome power seen in His creation.
